Due to the hot weather, Network Rail have imposed speed restrictions of 20mph in the St Helier area, which affects routes between Bedford, Luton, St Albans and Sutton.

Network Rail declared on their website that the restrictions will be in place until Thursday and may cause congestion and delays of up to 10 minutes to some services.

Two trains that were supposed to stop at St Albans City station this morning at 7.52am and 8am have been cancelled following the speed restrictions.
