A CHURCH community centre which was destroyed in an arson attack three years ago will reopen this Saturday.
Members of Christ Church in High Oaks raised over 700,000 to replace the wooden building, known as the St Andrews community building, which was destroyed in the fire (pictured).
The total cost of the project was 1.1 million and it is hoped that this new building will enable the church to serve their local community more effectively. It includes a main hall, a small meeting room and modern kitchen and toilets. This Saturday the building will be open to the public from 12noon to 4pm and a thanksgiving service will also be held at 3pm on Sunday.
