St Albans charity fashion show is a smash hit

A St Albans fashion show for suicide awareness charity The OLLIE Foundation was a sell-out success.

Cote restaurant hosted a display of outfits from local boutique Chloe James Lifestyle last Thursday.

Chloe James Lifestyle’s owner and organiser of the show Donna Nichol said: “The night was a great success! The show went well and the shop was very busy afterwards. We sent 72 outfits down the catwalk from cosy knits and stylish coats to glamorous party wear. We used eight local ladies as models and they all did a fabulous job!

“We also held a raffle and were delighted to raise £1,244 for The OLLIE Foundation.

Donna runs a charity fashion show twice every year. The last was in support of the Trinity Community Foundation.

The event was staffed by a number of local businesses, including local photographer Stephanie Belton.

London Road guitar store The Music Dept supplied microphones and amplifiers, and the models - women of all ages and body types who are customers of Donna’s - had their make-up done by local artist Cat Batour.

The OLLIE Foundation founder Stuart Falconer said: “We want to prevent people from taking their own lives and help young people who may be suicidal to stop them from taking that horrendous decision.”
