A St Albans charity shop has made one of their largest donations to date to Action Against Cancer (AAC).
Raindrops on Roses, whose motto is: “Spend here, save lives out there” donates 100 per cent of its profits to charities which aim to aid the early detection of cancer.
The most recent donation of a staggering £43,099 will help fund the development of cures for cancer in institutions such as Imperial College London and The University of Sussex.
Founder of AAC Hilary Craft said: “We are thrilled to be the charity partner of Raindrops on Roses in St Albans. We are hugely grateful to everyone involved with the shop, especially the volunteers who work there, and of course to all of the customers who are donating with every purchase.”
The focus of AAC is to help the 7,000 UK women who are diagnosed with ovarian cancer annually.
