DESPITE repeated calls for cat owners to have their pets neutered, the local branch of the Cats Protection is awash with young mother cats.
And while there are still a handful of kittens available, it is the mothers that are in desperate need of new homes.
A spokesperson for the St Albans Cats Protection said: “These are very young cats that have been neglected and ‘dumped’ when they return pregnant. Like Sadie, here, they are very, very friendly and affectionate and would make wonderful family cats as they are so good with children.”
If you can provide a home to Sadie or any other ‘single mums’ call the charity on 0845 3712064 or visit www.stalbans.cats.org.uk
