A FUNDRDAISING coffee morning is being held at a St Albans café this month with a percentage of the sales donated to Rennie Grove’s Care for a Cuppa campaign.

The Courtyard Café in Hatfield Road is inviting local people to come along and join the coffee morning on Friday, September 13.

A popular local venue, the Courtyard Café will be providing fair-trade coffee, tea and homemade cakes and scones between 10 am and 2pm.

Julie O’Shea of the Courtyard Café said: “As well as providing delicious refreshments for our customers, we will have a variety of stalls with a selection of hand-crafted and vintage creations for sale.

“Hopefully if the weather holds the stalls will be outside in the courtyard, so customers can browse in the sunshine with their second cup of coffee or even after a light lunch. A percentage of proceeds will be donated to the hospice.”

As well as the craft sale there will be an exhibition of work from local artists including oils, watercolours, printing, photography and mixed media collage.

Rennie Grove community fundraiser, Ruth Bendle added: “We hope as many people as possible will pop into this lovely café, have a coffee and help support Grove House hospice. The money raised here in the community goes back to support patients in the community.”
