The Dragon’s Apprentice Challenge is looking for local business leaders to guide a team of school pupils to victory.
The St Albans-based business event tasks year 12 pupils with turning an initial investment of £100 into £1,000.
Project coordinator Anne-Marie Mill said: “It’s a fantastic opportunity for our dynamic business community to demonstrate and pass on valuable knowledge to our apprentices.
“The dragon role requires leadership, patience and lots of enthusiasm to mentor our students to achieve their end goal.”
Each team has a four-month trading period to generate profit from October until the awards evening in April.
The last challenge saw teams from a range of schools raise money for various charities, with the help of various local business people.
Owner of The Little HR Company and winner of this year’s Dragon Special Recognition Award, Kelly Price, said: “It was a lot of fun working on the challenge and my team were amazing.
“Developing their basic business skills and watching them grow in confidence was a real joy.”
