FOUR local blood donors have received national recognition for the number of pints they have given.
Christine Marshall, Kelvin Reynolds and Alan Wigginton from St Albans and Dennis Culverhouse from Bricket Wood each received a crystal plate in recognition of donating blood 75 times.
They received their award at a recent event held by NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) at the Hilton Hotel in Watford.
The quartet were among 64 dedicated donors to be honoured for their contribution and Jon Latham, assistant director for session strategy and marketing at NHSBT, said: βItβs humbling to be amongst so many committed blood donors. Only a few small amount of people reach the 75 and 100 donation milestones so these donors should be justifiably proud of their achievements.β
