Street parties were held in Edward Close and Chestnut Drive in St Albans in honour of the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, now the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, on Saturday, May 19.
In the week leading up to the big day, children at Bright Horizons Asquith Harpenden Pre-School and Nursery dressed up as kings and queens, made their own crowns and watched the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton in preparation.
Children at Oaklands Acorns Nursery in St Albans put on their best party clothes and held a royal tea party, decorating the nursery with Union Jack flags.
Even the animals at Willows Farm gathered to watch the wedding on TV, and had their pens decorated with Union Jack bunting, and pubs around the town were decorated for the occasion.
