SIXTH formers from a St Albans school are “excited” about selling seasonal greetings cards at the Young Enterprise St Albans and Harpenden Trade Fair this Sunday.
As part of the Harpenden Christmas Carnival, the Beaumont School team will be pitting their sales skills against young enterprise companies from district schools including Verulam, Sandringham, Loreto College, St Columba’s College, St Albans Girls’ School, St Albans School, St Albans High School for Girls and Sir John Lawes School.
The Young Enterprise programme involves Year 12 students setting up and running a company for an academic year and the outdoor trade fair is an opportunity to show what they have produced so far. Young Enterprise is a national charity that links schools with businesses and the teams are competing for special awards including best product or service, best customer service, best trade stand and overall winning company.
Olly Grisenthwaite, Beaumont Year 12 student and managing director of Ares, a company created by the school’s sixth form students, said: “We are really excited about our Christmas cards and the designs we have.”
