TOTTENHAM Hotspur legends are set to take on a team representing an international civil engineering company in a football match at St Albans later month in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The Spurs Legends squad includes Mark Falco, former striker for clubs including Watford and Queens Park Rangers, David Howells, Spurs midfielder, Chris Perry, who became the club’s record signing in 1999 when he joined it for a fee of £4 million, and Justin Edinburgh, a defender who played for the Spurs during most of the 1990s.
The team will be playing engineering firm BAM Nuttall, with the match kicking off at St Albans City Football Club’s base, Clarence Park, at 2pm on Sunday. April 28.
John Murphy, spokesman for BAM Nuttall, said: “Many of us have been affected by cancer, whether we have experienced it personally or it is someone we know, and we wanted to do something to help support the wonderful work Macmillan carries out.”
