Police are appealing for information after a disabled 18-year-old boy had his specially-adapted bike stolen from a garage block in Harpenden.
The specialist Piggyback Mark 2 disability bike, which cost £500, was taken along with two other unisex mountain bikes, from Southdown Road between 4pm on September 15 and 3pm on September 22.
PCSO Paul Fletcher from the Harpenden and Rural Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “A family has been left distraught after the theft of this specialised bike used to take their son out on regular cycle rides.
“We would like to hear from anyone who has been offered any of the bikes for sale. We will do everything we can to trace them.”
Anyone who saw the theft, has been offered the bike for sale or knows who may be responsible, should contact PCSO Fletcher by calling the non-emergency 101 number.
