A MAN has been arrested following a number of incidents of criminal damage on cars in St Albans.

At least 18 cars’ tyres were slashed along Russet Drive and Drakes Drive in St Albans overnight between April 15 and 16.

St Albans Safer Neighbourhood Team executed a warrant at an address in the city yesterday (Wednesday) morning in connection with the offences and more than 104 cannabis plants were also found at the property.

A man in his 40s from St Albans has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and drugs offences. He has been police bailed until June 30.

Police think there may be more people who have had their cars damaged in the area at the time and have not yet reported it. They are asked to call the St Albans Neighbourhood Team via non-emergency number 0845 33 00 222.
