Time is running out to have your say on a proposal to turn a Grade II-listed mill into housing.
Gorhambury Estates want to turn Sopwell Mill Farm off Cottonmill Lane in St Albans into two homes.
The building, a 19th century water-powered corn mill, is Grade II-listed, but Historic England has not objected to the proposal.
Nor has the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings, which said: “In view of the fact the majority of the internal spaces are vacant, having been stripped out many years ago, we would not raise an objection in this case.”
The applicant also wants listed building consent to put in new windows and partitions in the house, as well as a fire suppression system.
Members of the public can give their opinions until May 30 by visiting the planning section of www.stalbans.gov.uk and searching for planning application reference 5/2018/0865 and 5/2018/0907.
