SNOW fell over St Albans this morning giving the district a wintry look, but not the blanket cover some have been hoping for after last year’s heavy snowfall.

Unfortunately for pupils about to enjoy their Christmas break, the snow did not settle long enough for snowball fights.

Before the snow melted, Herts Advertiser photographer Krishan Bhungar visited parks throughout the district to capture images of the light sprinkle.

Charlie Powell, ‘head bean’ of Soko Coffee, put the snow covering her van to good use to advertise to customers in need of a hot brew.

She said: “I’m just defrosting my hands after a very chilly morning of serving customers in the snow.”
