Snow hits St Albans district overnight - UPDATED

PUBLISHED: 06:33 03 February 2015 | UPDATED: 11:23 03 February 2015

The district has woken up to several inches of overnight snowfall, but most main transport routes are operating without incident.

Thameslink trains into London are not being affected by the weather, however a broken down train at London St Pancras International is causing delays of up to 30 minutes to and from the station which are expected to last until 10am.

There are no reported problems with the roads in the district, although there are delays on the M25 due to an earlier accident between J24-25, with two lanes closed.

Minor roads and pavements may be slippery, so please take extra care and give additional times for your journeys this morning.
