HERTS Police are advising people not to drive in the snow unless it is absolutely necessary.
Although there are no major incidents in the county despite the heavy snow, they are advising motorists that road conditions are extremely difficult and they should take extra care and allow extra time for their journey.
They are also advising travellers to dress warmly and take extra provisions with them just in case.
Currently the police are inundated with calls and they are now asking people to only contact them in an emergency by dialling 999.
