Shaun of the Dead star not bugged by request
AWARD-winning actor Simon Pegg has named a stick insect at Butterfly World in St Albans.
The “Shaun of the Dead” star visited the project in Chiswell Green on Sunday, October 9, to enjoy a close view of insects ranging from Madagascar hissing cockroaches to Ethiopian crickets.
Yesterday (Tuesday), in a tweet to the actor, Butterfly World said: “Requests have been pouring in for us to ask you to name one of the stick insects.”
Being practical, Simon replied: “Is it a girl or boy?”
When Butterfly World informed him it was a girl, Simon quickly tweeted: “Then I shall name her Ruth Buggs after Kristen Wiig’s character in Paul. Also Buggs is a good surname for an insect.”
