There are severe delays affecting trains serving St Albans and Harpenden this evening.
A broken rail earlier today between London Blackfriars and London St Pancras International has meant that services running between the stations may still be cancelled.
Although the track has now been fixed, a message on Network Rail’s website warned that disruption is expected to last all day and warned commuters to expect delays of up to 35 minutes.
All scheduled trains from St Albans to Bedford and Sevenoaks are currently running late by at least 20 minutes.
