MANCHESTER United, eat your heart out - a Harpenden school team has shown the way to win a football league trophy for the second year in succession.
The team of Year Five and Six children at Wood End School has won the Harpenden and District Sports Association Football League Trophy again this year.
Last year the team drew one match and won all the others but this year they have gone one better with a clean sweep against all the six other schools in their league.
Delighted coach Mike Smee said: "From pre-season training in October until the last match this week, the whole squad has worked hard and have been playing football of a high quality. It takes sustained effort to keep playing well throughout the season.
