A STOLEN Mercedes was torched in a Tyttenhanger field last night, the second such incident in less than a week.
Firefighters from St Albans found the vehicle well-alight near Highfield Hall, in Highfield Lane, when they attended the incident at around midnight.
The car, a silver G-reg coupe, had been subject to a Metropolitan Police inquiry after being stolen in London. Another car was torched nearby on Friday night (August 14).
