VILLAGERS are being given the opportunity to get to know their local police officers at the weekend.
Wheathampstead officers PC Arthur Wilkes and PCSO Jo Merritt will be at the mobile police station in the High Street between 1pm and 4pm on Sunday (April 5).
They will be security marking personal property including bikes and mobile phones as well as handing out general crime prevention advice.
PC Wilkes, who is new to the area and is keen to meet local people, said: "This is your opportunity to have your say in local policing. I look forward to meeting many residents on Sunday and hearing your concerns."
