A knitted replica of a St Albans village will be on display at an annual summer fete.
People can marvel at the woolly model of Sandridge at St Leonard’s Church summer fete on June 24.
All of Sandridge’s key landmarks have been recreated, including the church, village hall, sports hall, local pubs and shops, and well-known local houses.
Associate minister at St Leonard’s, Rev Peter Crumpler, said: “The knitted village is so extensive that it currently has no place where it can be on permanent display. So when it can be seen, it always attracts a lot of interest.
“The knitted village was created by a group of local knitters of all ages, and has been developed over recent years.”
There will also be a barbecue, face painting, cafe, tombola, hoopla and a variety of craft stalls at the event, which is open from 2pm to 5pm.
Entry is free.
