WOOLLEN dolls of Prince William, Kate Middleton and their wedding guests have been created by a knit and crochet group.

As recently featured on The Graham Norton Show, the group known as Rose and Dylan Stitch ‘n’ Bitch have pooled their resources to knit the Royal Wedding guests which will be raffled off in aid of Help for Heroes – Prince William’s favourite charity.

The group, who meet every Wednesday morning, made a figure each – including the corgis – when they saw the new Royal Wedding knitting book by Fiona Goble. Group member Charlotte Heiling said: “As soon as we saw the book was coming out we decided to make the wedding party. We thought it would make a fabulous display in the window of Rose and Dylan – our local yarn shop – and then decided that it would make sense to use the toys to raise money for charity too.”

The figures are currently on display in the window of Rose and Dylan in George Street, St Albans, where raffle tickets are also available.
