TWO months on from the disappearance of Murrary Thompson his parents have made a renewed appeal for information.

Detectives launched a murder investigation earlier this month but the 34-year-old’s body has not been found and nobody has been charged.

The St Albans man went missing on April 20 and it’s thought that the last place he visited was a flat in St Albans Road in Watford where forensic investigations have taken place. His GIL-LEC work van was last seen in the area on that date and was located in Bushey two weeks later.

A 21-year-old from Watford was arrested on suspicion of murder but was released on police bail.

Murray’s father Tony Thompson said: “It is indescribable what we are going through. It is almost impossible to get through each day with the stress of not knowing what has happened to him. Please, if you know anything, contact police.”

Murray’s mother Geraldine Woodstock and his stepfather Brian Woodstock said: “This has affected the whole family. Our daughter is planning to get married next year and we can’t comprehend Murray not being there or even think of the future without him.

Geraldine added: “We are living our lives in limbo and just taking one day at a time. I just need to know where he is. Someone out there knows something – please contact police.”

Detective Inspector Jerome Kent from the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit said: “The family are obviously in turmoil following the news that Murray may have been murdered and we are leaving no stone unturned in finding out what has happened to him.

“We are gathering a picture of Murray’s last movements and believe he visited the flat on the St Albans Road. The flat is above a shop and the entrance to it is accessible via Leavesden Road. Did you see any suspicious activity around the flat towards the end of April?

“Between April 20 and May 4 we believe Murray’s van moved to Bushey. Do you recall seeing people acting suspiciously in area around Robin Hood Drive in Bushey?

“Are you associated with Murray in any way and have information about what happened to him? I would urge you to contact police.”
