A special service, open to all, to remember anyone who has died is to be held at a village church this Sunday, November 6.

Attendees at the memorial service at St Leonard’s Church, Sandridge, which starts at 4pm, will be invited to light a candle, or to place a flower or sprig of rosemary on the altar.

The Rev Peter Crumpler, curate at St Leonard’s, said: “We are holding this service to give people a chance to remember anyone they have lost, either recently or many years in the past. We shall be remembering, giving thanks and, as Christians, looking to the new life in Christ.”
