A main road was closed for more than two hours on Saturday (13) night following a crash between three cars.
Herts Police closed Redbourn Road after three cars collided near Punchbowl Lane at about 8.30.
A woman in her 20s sustained minor neck and shoulder injuries, but was discharged at the scene by the ambulance service, while the other drivers escaped uninjured.
The St Albans fire service was called to the incident because a car was thought to be smoking, but on closer inspection there was no fire.
Ringway attended the scene to clear up an oil spill and Police later re-opened the road following the clean up at about 10.45pm.
