A HAWK-eyed neighbour helped police trace ram raiders who smashed their truck through the glass frontage of the Co-Operative store in Redbourn's High Street.
It was around 4.20am today that the neighbour heard the alarm and the sound of breaking glass.
He alerted the police who arrived there in a matter of minutes and gave chase to the ram raiders along the M1.
Two men in their early twenties from North London were captured and are currently in custody being interviewed by police.
It is believed the men made off without managing to take anything from the store.
