Parts of a diabetic kit were strewn across the road after a car was broken into on Down Edge in Redbourn.
A Sat-Nav and prescription sunglasses were also taken from the unlocked vehicle between 12.30am and 1am today.
Anyone with any information regarding this theft has been asked to contact Herts police on 101, quoting reference number 41/40966/18.
