CROWDS flocked to an Easter art and craft show in Redbourn, raising around £1,800 to improve facilities at the Recreation Centre in the village.

It was the event’s 28th year and was officially opened by the Deputy Mayor of St Albans, Cllr Geoff Harrison, earlier this month.

All money raised will go towards improving facilities at Redbourn Recreation Centre and the all-weather bowling green.

Pat Schofield who was behind the event said it had gone extremely well but that more members were needed to ensure the event was held next year.
