A CRICKET pitch in Redbourn was badly damaged on Sunday (January 22) after a quad bike drove onto it.
Police were informed about the incident, believed to have taken place around 12.30am, by a member of the public who had been walking his dog. The man said he had seen a quad bike drive onto the pitch on Redbourn Common from North Common Road and that the driver was wearing a fluorescent pink cycle helmet.
Police are now seeking to speak with this potential witness as they have been unable to make contact with him. They are also looking to speak with any other witnesses who saw the incident because of the extensive damage caused to the cricket pitch.
