STAINED-glass artist Helen Robinson helped children at a village primary school to create a little piece of history.
Their stained glass window depicts the annual three-day Kimpton May Festival in vibrant colours.
Kimpton JMI School head Marion Stewart-Smith said: "It's lovely to have such a beautiful piece of art depicting an event which sums up the spirit of Kimpton village.
"The picture is a composite of all the older children's ideas and they were all hands-on with putting the work together."
Helen's two-day visit to the school was sponsored by Harpenden Area Fine and Decorative Arts Society (HADAS) as part of a project to heighten children's awareness of art in the world around them.
Retired head Diana Diggines attended the school to unveil the window.
