MORE than 100 children were evacuated from their school when some burnt popcorn filled a classroom with smoke.

Firefighters were called to Watling View School in St Albans yesterday (Thursday) afternoon just before 1pm.

The crews from St Albans used ventilation equipment to disperse the smoke and left the scene in Watling View at around 1.30pm. No-one was injured in the incident.
