A YOUNG boy at Beaumont School in St Albans was so badly beaten by another pupil that he had to be taken to hospital.
His 13-year-old attacker was arrested by police called to the school and bailed pending a possible grievous bodily harm charge.
The incident happened earlier this month at the school in Oakwood Drive.
Head teacher Elizabeth Hitch said: "Neither boy is in school at present and we are in the process of trying to investigate the incident with the help of the police. We cannot say more at this stage until our investigations are complete.
