CAMPAIGNERS are encouraging people to attend a public meeting about Tesco's St Albans store application next Tuesday, April 29.
St Albans Stop Tesco and St Albans Civic Society say they are holding the meeting to make people aware that the next few weeks are crucial for people to have their say on the application. The gathering will be held at the Trinity United Reformed Church on the corner of Beaconsfield Road and Victoria Street at 7.30pm.
The deadline to make comments to St Albans District Council's planning department about the application for the proposed 4,000sq metre superstore in London Road is May 7.
Marion Hammant of the Civic Society commented: "When the planning process has been going on for as long as this it is easy for the adrenaline to drop into apathy. People might not realise now is the time to comment.
