Batford Nursery School received the unanimous accolade after a rigorous inspection which looked at every aspect of life there.
The inspector noted that the children loved being there and by the time they left, they were confident and independent learners with attainment much higher than typical for their age.
Parents were effusive in their praise for the school and how their children flourished in both their personal and academic development while those with special needs and/or disabilities made rapid progress.
