A POWER cut left hundreds of homes on the south side Harpenden without electricity this morning (Thursday).
More than 860 properties lost power at around 4am but most of were reconnected by 5.30am.
However 35 homes in the Ayres End Lane area still remained without power more than 10 hours later.
A spokesperson for EDF Energy said that the problem was due to a suspected underground fault.
She said engineers were investigating the problem and power would be restored as soon as possible.
