MORE than 400 people in the Wheathampstead area suffered a power cut at around 12.20pm today (Wednesday).
It followed a fault in the high-voltage underground cable network and all except 63 customers had their power restored by 1.55pm. EDF Energy engineers are currently working to restore power to the remainder.
A spokesperson for EDF said: "We do understand how awkward such interruptions can be and apologise to our customers for the inconvenience.
