Police spend two hours rounding up stray horses

A HERD of around 10 horses escaped from their field and were roaming around a main road this morning (Wednesday).

The same thing has happened along Shenley Lane in London Colney on at least one other occasion just before Christmas.

Police were called to the scene at around 9am to find some of the horses grazing on the grass outside the Royal British Legion club.

A police spokesperson said that officers helped the owner to round up the horses and get them back into their field by about 11am.
