AN INVESTIGATION into arson attacks on four caravans and a four-wheel-drive has been launched by the police.
Officers are appealing for witnesses and information about the incidents which took place at the Ver Meadows caravan site in Redbourn earlier this week.
In the early hours of Wednesday morning, at around 2.15am, two caravans and a Land Rover were set alight.
Then on Thursday night, at around 9pm, two further caravans went up in flames at the site along the Redbourn Bypass. None of the caravans were habited.
Detective Inspector, Carl Foster, said: "At the moment it is too early to say whether the two arsons are linked, but we are not ruling it out at this stage of the investigation.
"I would urge anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anyone acting suspiciously, or if anyone has information, to get in contact as soon as possible."
Anyone with information should call 0845 33 00 222 citing crime reference number F2/09/2263. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
