A KNIFE-WIELDING robber who threatened a man in the middle of the day in St Albans is being hunted by police.

The incident took place just after midday on Thursday, November 12, when the victim, who was walking through an alleyway between Carlisle Avenue and Grange Street, was approached by a man demanding money.

The robber produced a knife and threatened the man, who gave him a small sum of cash, before running off down Grange Street in the direction of St Peter's Street. Although badly shaken, the victim did not sustain any injuries.
