Burglars made several attempts to break into a house in St Albans.

The attempted break-in took place in Castle Road between 10.45pm and 11.15pm on Wednesday, March 14.

One or more offenders tried to get into the house by trying the door handle multiple times.

When they were unable to get in the offenders left, and police do not know in which direction they went or whether they left by car or on foot.

Anyone who saw anything or has CCTV which may have recorded suspicious activity in the area at the time is asked to contact police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference number F1/18/1206.
