Police investigating the theft of a floor saw that was stolen from Batchwood Golf Club recently have released an image to help with their investigation.

The bright orange Aden floor saw is believed to have been stolen between 5pm on Wednesday, November 13 and 1pm the following day.

Thieves are thought to have forced entry to the Batchwood Drive site by knocking down a wooden gate and then removed the saw, which weighs around 400lbs and is only movable on its wheels.

PC Barry Eldridge said: “This is a distinctive and hard to move tool. It is likely that a vehicle was used and that there was at least one other person involved in the theft due to the weight of the saw.

“I would urge anyone who has been offered it for sale or knows of its whereabouts to get in touch with me as soon as possible, or if you saw anything suspicious in the area around the time of the offence, please also get in touch.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police non-emergency number 101, or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
