A CANNABIS factory containing around 350 plants was shut down in London Colney on Friday.

The drugs, which have an estimated street value of between £100,000 to £140,000, were found in a property in Cherry Tree Avenue by the neighbourhood policing team who were acting on information from the public.

Toan Tran, 37, of no fixed abode, was arrested and later charged with the cultivation of cannabis.

She was remanded in custody and appeared before Central Herts Magistrates yesterday (Monday) where she pleaded guilty to the offence. Sentencing is due to take place in March.

The warrant was executed by Pc Andy Shepherd with the assistance of PCSOs Debbie Daniels, Ben Richards and Gary Bailey and intervention officers with the landlord of the property.
