TWO St Albans men have been arrested on suspicion of arson and are in police custody after a van was set alight last night.
The police helicopter was deployed to catch suspects after the White Vauxhall Vivaro was deliberately set ablaze at around 6.10pm on Sandringham Crescent.
Firefighters were on the scene within five minutes and brought the fire under control 30 minutes later.
Police closed nearby junctions with Chiltern Road and St Albans Road but reopened them at 7pm.
The two suspects, aged 20 and 21, were arrested last night.
