A MAN who had been wanted by police for more than four years was arrested in a St Albans shop yesterday (Tuesday).

Aadam Nozeer, aged 23, was arrested at 10am in Topps Tiles in Hatfield Road after someone recognised him from the "wanted" pages on the Herts Police website.

Pc Mark Lemon said: "I'd like to thank the caller who phoned this in - it goes to show that publicising our wanted people on our website works. We now know he lives in Middlesex."

Nozeer was wanted for failing to appear in court in April 2004 on a theft charge and he is currently in custody at Hatfield. To view other wanted people visit www.hertsad.co.uk
