A FIGHT which broke out between two men ended with each one attacking the other with a weapon.
Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the altercation behind Cheers Pizza in Hatfield Road, St Albans, just after 4.20pm last Wednesday.
Shortly afterwards one of the men went to his flat behind the restaurant and returned with what was believed to be an iron bar and bladed weapon which he used against the other man causing superficial injuries.
His victim then got the bladed weapon from him and used it against his assailant, also causing superficial injuries.
Investigating officer, Det Sgt Jason Finnegan, said: "Although serious, this was an isolated incident as the two men were known to each other."
He asked anyone who had information or was in the vicinity at the time to call the police non-emergency number 0845 33 00 222 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
A 32-year-old man and a 24-year-old man, both from St Albans, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
