Police appeal following assault in Harpenden

A MAN was left with facial injuries following an assault in Harpenden yesterday (Sunday, June 10).

Police were called at 12.30am to reports a 31-year-old man had been assaulted in St Albans Road.

Det Con Sonja Townsend is investigating and said: “This was an unprovoked assault which has left the victim with quite serious injuries to his face. I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened to contact police with information. I would also like to hear from anyone who has any knowledge about the incident which would be of assistance to the investigation.”

Two men from Harpenden, aged 18 and 23 years old, have been arrested in connection with the investigation and are currently on police bail.
