A fire in the ground floor of a building is being investigated by police as a suspected arson.
Firefighters from St Albans were called at 10.27pm on Monday, February 28 to the blaze in the ground floor of a two-storey building in Alexandra Road.
The crew called police to the scene and used two hose reels to extinguish the fire, which was out by 11.36pm. No one was injured.
The fire is now being investigated by police and a scene guard remains in place to allow forensic work to be carried out.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious around the time of the incident, or has any information, is asked to contact police on 101, quoting crime reference number F1/17/938.
