A TEENAGER from St Albans was assaulted outside Batchwood Hall nightclub over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The alleged attack on the 18 year old occurred between 3.20am and 3.30am on Saturday, May 24, on Batchwood Drive outside the club. The victim was taken to the QEII Hospital in Welwyn Garden City with head injuries, treated and released later that day.

Five men were arrested on suspicion of assault - four from Hemel Hempstead and one from Tring - but two were later released.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information about the attack to contact DC Andy Boyer from St Albans Local Crime Unit on 0845 33 00 222.
